Read and interpret water meter readings
75.2 How do you read and interpret water meter readings?
To read and interpret a water meter, you need to focus on the numbers displayed on the meter. Typically, a water meter will have a series of numbers that represent the volume of water used, measured in cubic meters (m³). The black numbers on the left indicate whole cubic meters, while the red numbers on the right represent decimals of a cubic meter.
For example, if the meter shows 00434.780, you would read it as 434.78 cubic meters. This means that 434 full cubic meters and 0.78 of a cubic meter have been used. Understanding how to read these numbers is crucial for monitoring water usage and managing water bills effectively.
