How do you differentiate solid figures from plane figures?
Solid figures and plane figures are two types of shapes you can find in geometry.
Solid figures are three-dimensional. This means they have length, width, and height. Examples of solid figures include prisms, cylinders, pyramids, spheres, and cones. You can think of them as shapes you can hold in your hand.
Plane figures are two-dimensional. This means they have length and width, but no height. They are shapes you can draw on a piece of paper. Examples of plane figures include circles, triangles, rectangles, and ellipses.
